Evolution of Big Birds
Using aDNA of elephant birds, researchers make a phylogeny of the flightless birds. This phylogeny places the elephant bird of Madagascar and the kiwi of New Zealand sister to each other. Based on historic geography, they infer that the two species must have a common ancestor who could fly.

Trainees everywhere saw the Principle Investigator Predictor and started reevaluating their publication strategies, specifically to have more even if in lower impact factor journals.
